Pokemon Go: Players Getting Random Party or Team – Issue Acknowledged

At the moment, Pokemon Go is the most played AR-based mobile game in the world. Since it was first introduced, it has rapidly amassed a significant number of players all around the world. The first augmented reality smartphone game by Niantic Labs, Ingress, served as a stepping stone for the development of Pokemon Go. The two games are similar in many fundamental respects; but, over time, Pokemon Go has gotten numerous additional features that set it apart from the other game.

Since there is no cost associated with playing the game, you are free to do so whenever you choose and not risk losing any money. In addition to this, it is continually updated with new events and activities, which helps to keep its player community engaged. After its initial release, Pokemon Go was updated with a number of new features, including one called Pokemon Battles. However, at the moment, gamers are running into problems with these fights.

There is a bug affecting a significant number of users of Pokemon Go in which they are assigned to a party or team at random when they begin a battle. In this article, we will look at the problem which is faced by gamers in Pokemon Go and also look at the official statement of Niantic. Stay tuned !

What is Pokemon Go?

Pokémon Go is an augmented reality (AR) mobile game released in 2016 as part of the Pokémon series by Niantic in conjunction with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for iOS and Android devices. It makes use of mobile devices equipped with GPS to enable players to track down, capture, train, and battle fictitious creatures known as Pokémon that appear to be in the same place as the user in the real world. The game can be played for free; it employs a freemium business model paired with local advertising, and it allows for the purchase of additional in-game products through in-app purchases. When the game first came out, there were approximately 150 different Pokémon species; by 2021, that number had climbed to approximately 700.

It is credited with popularizing location-based and augmented reality technology, encouraging physical exercise, and assisting local businesses in growing as a result of increased foot traffic. However, it was met with criticism because of its role in the occurrence of accidents and the problems it caused for the public. Several governments have voiced worries about the threat it poses to national security, and several countries have begun to control its usage.

Problem with Pokemon Go Solved?

The Pokemon Battles are widely regarded as one of the game’s most appealing parts; but, in recent times, a number of players have expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the battles present them with a variety of challenges. There have been many complaints that players are now experiencing a bug that causes them to start a combat with a group or squad that is completely at random.

Due to a bug, whenever a player begins a battle in Pokemon Go, they are assigned a random team instead of the one they had previously picked. In addition, players are unable to modify the random team that they are assigned owing to a bug, which is a very annoying aspect of the game.

Thankfully, the Niantic team has recognized this problem and stated that they are now working on a remedy and that it will be rectified in the near future. However, there is no information on when the update that contains the solution will be made available. The official statement of Niantic is listed below:

“Sorry for the trouble, Trainer! We’re aware of this issue and working on a fix. Meanwhile, please let us know the following details via DM:

 – Have you uploaded the game logs (in-app)?

– Device model and app version”

As you can see, they have recognized this issue publicly on their Twitter page; however, they have not provided an estimated time of resolution (ETA). Hopefully, the problem will be fixed soon, since many gamers all around the world are reporting the same problem.
