West Bengal University of Technology Post Graduate Entrance Test is conducted to admit candidates for admissions to MTech and MPharma Programmes offered by various colleges in the state. Applicants who have qualified GATE/GPAT can also appear for the exam. WBUT PGET 2024 exam is conducted in offline mode. The selection of the candidates will be done based on Interviews and performance in the WBUT PG entrance test.

- On the homepage, candidates will be able to see a notification flashing including the words ‘Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET) 2024 for admission into M.Tech and M. Pharm under MAKAUT, WB.’ Candidates need to click on that link.
- Now a new page that will be providing all necessary details and links about WBUT PGET 2024 will open.
- To start filling the application form, candidates need to click on ‘Click here to apply online.’
- Now candidates need to fill the details as asked by the form and then upload their photograph and signature.
- Candidates are advised to once read and understand the guidelines for filling online form as mentioned on the same page.
- After filling the form, candidates may click on ‘Submit’.
- Candidates must carefully see all the details before clicking submit as details once submitted cannot be changed.
- This duly filled application form is to be printed and sent to the university along with some other documents, details of which are given below.
Application Fee
- Candidates need to remit the application fees using credit card/debit card/Internet Banking.
- Candidates belonging to OBC / General category have to pay the 600/- and SC / ST category needs to submit 300/- as application fees.

WBUT PGET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates desiring to apply for WBUT PGET 2024 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidate must be an Indian national.
- Aspirants must have passed their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/ Architecture from a recognised university or institute.
- Final year students can also apply. However, these students should fulfill the eligibility criteria
- Aspirants who hold an MSc degree or would be completing their MSc in the respective branches can also apply.
- GATE/GPAT qualified students will also be considered eligible for admissions.
- Candidates who are Associate Members of a Professional of Engineers recognized by the Govt. of India as equivalent courses can also apply.
WBUT PGET 2024 Examination Pattern
- Mode of Exam: offline mode. (Pen Paper Based Test).
- Language: e English.
- Question Paper Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- No. of Questions: total of 100 questions.
- No. of Sections: 3 sections with General Section (English, Aptitude in Logical/ Reasoning Power and Mathematics) – 20 marks Mathematics, Basic Sciences & Engineering Sciences – 30 marks and Relevant Engineering Section – 50 Marks
- Duration of Exam: 2 hours duration.
- Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, 1 marks will be allotted.
- Negative Marking: No negative marking will be done.
WBUT PGET 2024 Result
The concerned authority will release the result post conclusion of the exam. The result will be released in online mode. Candidates will need their login details to check WBUT PGET result 2024. The result shall incorporate details like candidate’s name, roll number, marks obtained, rank obtained, etc. Successful candidates will be called for participating in admission process further.

WBUT PGET 2024 Counseling
The candidates, as per their names in the merit list, will be invited to participate in the counseling process. The candidates will have to attend the counseling along with all the important documents and the counseling fee of Rs. 500/-. The candidates can provide their choice for specialization at the time of counseling. Seat will be allotted to the candidates after verification of their documents and their eligibility as per the choice made by them and availability of seat at their rank. The candidates who are allotted a seat will have to pay a seat booking fee of Rs. 5000/-.
