PTU M.tech Admission 2024-ptu.ac.in Application Process, Eligibility, Counselling

I K Gujral Punjab Technical University has started the PTU M.Tech Admission 2024 application form process on the official website – ptu.ac.in. Candidates must take note that admission is being done on the basis of GATE scores and B.Tech/qualifying exam marks and no separate entrance exam is conducted.

PTU M.tech 2024 Application Process

Although there is no entrance exam conducted by the university, application forms are released for admission. Candidates interested in taking admission to the university are required to submit their applications online through the official website. Here are the steps to be followed:

• Visit the official website and click on the 2024 admission link.
• Start with the registration process by providing basic details asked.
• After successful registration, log in using the credentials.
• Complete the application form with qualification details, course opted for, stream, etc.
• Make a payment of the application fee, and you will receive a confirmation message on successful fee payment.
• Take a printout of the filled application form.

Punjab MTech Admissions 2024 Eligibility

Below is the eligibility criteria for PTU MTech admissions prescribed by the authority:

The minimum qualification for admission to MTech course shall be as follows:

• All those candidates who have passed BE/BTech degree in relevant field with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) marks in aggregate and with valid GATE Score shall be eligible to apply for Postgraduate level MTech course.
• Admission for 85% Seats for residents of Punjab and 15% seats for outsiders shall be made strictly based on valid GATE score and in case seats have not been filled under respective categories, admission shall be considered on the basis of inter se merit in qualifying examination.

PTU M.Tech Scholarships

• PTU also encourages students to apply for various scholarships and concessions provided by the State and Central Government.
• The University offers a number of schemes for students belonging to SC/ST categories under the SC/ST Welfare schemes in which students are exempted from paying fees.
• The university also offers a free ship scheme for students who come from economically weaker sections (EWS).
• It also offers various scholarship schemes like GATE Scholarship, JRF & SRF Scholarships, UGC/Net Schemes & Scholarships, Research Grants, Research and Development projects etc.

PTU M.Tech admission 2024 Counselling:

• Applicants should provide their preferred choices of programmes and colleges after logging in.
• The allotment of seat will be declared on the basis of the Merit rank that will be announced before counselling.
• Candidates have to login and check their Seat allotment.
• Download the same for counseling.
• They have to report and submit fees on the prescribed dates.
• Candidates have to bring their original documents for verification and perform their admission formalities.
