Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test acronym LPUNEST is conducted by the University for admission to the following scholar programmes both on a part-time and full-time basis as mentioned below. For admission to Lovely Professional University PhD courses candidates have to appear for the LPU Ph.D. Entrance Test. This entrance examination is conducted by the university itself. LPU Admission 2024 Application Form
Candidates can check details about LPU NEST 2024 application form from the given section:
- The application form can be filled through different modes i.e. online, offline and semi-online.
- Candidates can purchase offline form from the university campus by paying cash.
- The semi-online application form can be filled if candidates do not want to submit a hardcopy of the application form.
- Registration has been started from January 2024.
- Fill in all required details carefully in the application form including personal, communication, educational etc.
- At the time of filling, application candidates must have to choose exam centre preferences.
- Candidates must take the printout of the filled application form and keep it safe.
Application Fee
- For Boys: Rs.500/-
- For Girls: Rs.250/-
- Mode of Payment: Through online Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks with a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST students.
- For getting a Ph.D. in engineering disciplines applicants must have a relevant Post Graduation degree in Engineering.
- However, students are selected based on their performance in the Entrance Test LPUNEST. The Entrance exam can be considered for both admission and Scholarship.

Selection Criteria
- An applicant will be short listed for interview on the basis of his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST (Ph.D.).
- The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (70% weightage) and Interview (30% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.
LPU Ph.D. Admission 2024
Admission to the Ph.D. program is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in LPUNEST followed by an interview. The Candidates are selected based on their performance in the written test (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage). Students who have qualified in NET/JRF/CSIR/ICAR/SLET/GATE/GPAT/SPM or fellowship holders are exempted from attending the written test.
Scholarship/Fellowship
- candidates are given scholarships according to their performance in the LPU NEST PhD exam and it is Rs.1,80,000/- per student on a maximum basis.
- PhD candidates are given a fellowship of Rs. 12000/- per month during the programme for up to three years.
