Central University of Odisha, formerly Central University of Orissa, was established by parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 by Government of India, situated at Sunabeda Town, Koraput District in the Indian state of Odisha. The territorial jurisdiction of the university is whole of the Odisha state. The Central University of Odisha has been established by the Parliament under the Central Universities Act, 2009 (No. 3C of 2009). It is one of the 15 new Central Universities established by the Government of India during the UGC XI Plan period to address the concerns of “equity and access” and as per the policy of the Government of India to increase the access to quality higher education by people in less educationally developed districts which have a Graduate Enrollment Ratio of less than the national average of 11%. Koraput District of Odisha comes within the KBK region (Koraput, Bolangir and Kalahandi) which is still considered as an extremely as underdeveloped region of the State of Odisha

Admit card

The university will issue the Admit Card for entrance test through online mode only as per the schedule date. The admit card also known as hall ticket will be issued to those applicants only who have successfully submitted their application form and fees on time and correctly. Ans. The best route to reach campus is via the railway station through cab or bus as it is just 15 km away from Damanjodi railway station and 25 km from Koraput railway station.

Ans.  As for now, the university is quite new and is still in the under-development stage, so it doesn’t have any placement cell for now. But it does help in getting internships to students.

Ans. The total intake capacity for students studying and residing on campus is around 850+.
