Brainware University is a private university located in Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established after the West Bengal Assembly passed the Brainware University bill in 2015. It is part of the Brainware Group of Institutions.  The university provides a well-stocked library with national and international journals, providing adequate resources to the students for academic pursuits. Education is incomplete without sports and recreational activities. Brainware also organizes seminars, workshops, fests to unleash the creativity of students. To tap into their hobbies, students could also join different types of clubs like photography clubs, tech clubs, communication clubs, and more. Even in this pandemic, the education process has never stopped. The online classes helped the students continue their courses uninterruptedly.

Brainware University Course Offred with Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral Entry)
10+2 examination with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 45% marks in PCM/PCB with passing marks in Theory and Practical and in English.

BBA and MBA: For BBA, the minimum eligibility is that the candidate must have passed Std. 10+2 examination in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks.

BBA LLB, LL.B
The eligibility criteria for BBA LLB is 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (42% for OBC & 40% for SC/ST).
For LLB, 45% marks in Graduation (42% for OBC & 40% for SC/ST).

PhD: Must have passed post-graduation with 55% marks in the relevant discipline.

MBA: BBA/ BCom or equivalent bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate, CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ WBJEEMAT or any other entrance of national importance followed by an interview

MTech: BTech/ BE or equivalent bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject of study with a minimum of 55% aggregate

MCA: A valid score in WBJEE (JECA)

MSC: 50% in graduation ( B.Sc. CS/ B.Sc. IT/ BCA)

BSc: Passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% aggregate in relevant subjects

Bpahrma: 10+2 (PCB) with 45% marks from any recognized board

BCA: 55% in class 12 (any discipline), 60% in class 10

MA: 50% in graduation (any discipline)

B.com: 55% in class 12 (any discipline), 60% in class 10

D Pharma: 10+2 (PCB) with 45% marks  from any recognized board

Placements 

The university has a separate cell known as Training and Placement cell for placement procedures conducted at the university. The main objective of the cell is to provide students with required training to be able to appear in qualify the placement procedures conducted by various recruiting companies.
