Application Fee
- Candidates must pay an application fee for the successful submission of the application form. The application fee can be submitted by any online method like a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- For General and OBC candidates application fee is Rs. 500 for one paper and Rs.800 for 2 papers.
- For SC/ST candidates’ application fee is Rs. 250 for one paper and 400 for two papers.
Eligibility for Maharashtra TET 2024:-
The following persons shall be eligible for Maharashtra TET 2024:
i. A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the Government of Maharashtra Resolution dated 13 Feb. 2013.
ii. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the appropriate authority, as the case may be) specified in the of Maharashtra Resolution dated 13 Feb. 2013.
Maharashtra TET 2024 Schools:-
A school of the State Government/UT with legislature and local authority referred to in sub-clause (i) of clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act; and (ii) a school referred to in sub-clause (ii) of clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act in that State/UT.
A school at (i) and (ii) may also consider eligibility of a candidate who has obtained TET Certificate awarded by another State/UT with legislature. In case a State Government/UT with legislature decides not to conduct a TET, a school at (i) and (ii) in that State/UT would consider the TET conducted by the Central Government.
Exam Pattern
- The exam will be conducted in offline mode.
- There will be multiple-choice questions in the exam.
- It will be conducted by two different papers for two batches.
- One for those who are applying for class 1 to 5 teachers and others who are applying for the teaching eligibility for Class 6 to 8.
- There is no provision of negative marking.
- Each question will be of 1 mark.

MAHA TET Admit Card 2024
- It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry their admit card and one valid ID proof (aadhar card, pan card, voter ID card) on the day of the examination.
- Admit card contains the details of the exam center, date and timings of the exam
- Candidates are advised to reach the exam center well in time before the exam starts.
- Do not carry any banned items to the exam center. Abide with any and all instructions provided in the admit card.
How To Check MAHA TET Result?
Follow the steps as under to check your Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test Result:
- 1st Step – Visit the official website of Maharashtra TET – mahatet.in.
- 2nd Step – On the home page, click on the “candidate login/sign-in”
- 3rd Step – On the right-hand corner of the home screen, there is a small box.
- 4th Step – Enter your “Registered Number” and “Password”. Also, enter the captcha details.
- 5th Step – Now click on the “Submit” button.
- 6th Step – The result will be displayed on the screen. Download and take a print out of the same for future reference.
Selection Process
Maharashtra TET is a state-level exam and a huge number of candidates had appeared for it. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks secured by them in each paper.
